Sunday, 14th September - Yellowstone (105 miles)

Today we toured the southern loop road of Yellowstone National Park (along with lots of other people!)

There were lots of wonderful sights and smells.

We did a quick detour to view the Virginia Cascades before parking up at the Norris Geyser Basin:

A boardwalk enabled us to walk right out and amongst the landscape that seemed almost alive.

We moved on to the Artists Paintpots:

From there was a brief stop at Gibbon Falls before entering a very busy Grand Prizmatic Spring:

Onwards then to the famous Old Faithful Geyser which, right on time, erupted right in front of us for 3/4 minutes:

On the way back to the lodge we stopped to view a wolf, a coyote, a bear and another herd of  bison - just another day in Yellowstone!
