Tuesday, 9th September - Rapid City (162 miles)
We headed east out of Rapid City along I90 towards the small town of Wall 50 miles away and specifically to the world famous Wall Drug store:
In the evening we met up at the local Sickies Garage Grill with old friends from Nebraska, Terry and Sherry, for food and a catch-up (last saw them in 2019 in Colorado):
After a couple of hours retail therapy and restorative coffee and pie we drove south to the Badlands National Park - a quite unique and almost "out of this world" location served by a magnificent loop road:
We even saw a bison/buffalo at relatively close quarters:

Another perfect end to a perfect day.
The Badlands National Park looks quite similar to the Painted Desert - except perhaps larger, and higher mountains. It looks wonderful......
